When you book your wedding at Bay Pointe Inn, you receive more than just a beautiful venue and fantastic food and beverage. You receive complimentary personal attention from our professional wedding team throughout the planning process and day of your wedding. Your Catering Sales Manager and our coordinators are your main contacts throughout the planning process, and will be in touch frequently to provide you with your important dates and reminders. As you plan, please reach out for our recommendations on preferred vendors and for any questions you may have. Our wedding worksheet is a helpful tool to organize the details of your wedding day, and will be sent to you during communication with your Catering Sales Coordinator.
If we host your ceremony, we provide you one complimentary hour of rehearsal time with our experienced Banquet Supervisor. The Supervisor will guide you through the rehearsal and will be your “Go To” person the day of your wedding. They will assist with the ceremony and reception to ensure all details are performed flawlessly so that your wedding is the most personal and memorable celebration of your lifetime!
Successful events begin with early planning! Bay Pointe is here to ensure a superbly catered event, tastefully presented in our unique setting. Our experienced wedding staff will customize your event to insure it’s unique and memorable. Our Sales Team is delighted to share ideas about your menu and wedding celebration. We provide plated banquets, buffets, cocktail parties, receptions, showers, and more for every occasion. Our menu is only the beginning of the creativity that we offer, so please do not hesitate to ask for ideas!
Bay Pointe Inn can hold a block of rooms for your group at adiscountedrate. Your Catering Coordinator or Catering Sales Manager will provide you with available rooms for thenight(s) of your event. Room Block Cut-Off Dates are 2 months prior to event. Please discuss specificroom block details with your Catering Sales Manager or Coordinator. Bay Pointe Inn Features 39 designer inspired guestrooms: six lakeside suites, one family suite and a variety of 32 elegant guestrooms.The BoatHouse Villa is an additional event space with sleeping accommodations. Please ask your Catering Sales Manager if you are interested in The BoatHouse Villa and they can inform you of booking options.
Bay Pointe Inn charges a rental fee for each unique function space. In case of inclement weather, all outdoor events shall take place in the reserved function space unless other arrangements are made prior to the wedding date. Additional fees will apply for alternative indoor function spaces and/or tent rentals. Each function space at Bay Pointe Inn has a food & beverage minimum (any food/beverages purchased go towards this minimum). The minimums are based on what date and venue you book. Your Catering Sales Manager will provide you the details of what the minimum will be for your event space and date.
The deposit amount is calculated based on the venue and, food and beverage options selected and is due with the signed contract to reserve the venue. Incremental deposits are defined in your contract. A final deposit of the remaining balance will be due ten (10) days prior to your event. A valid credit card must be on file for all charges but the final payment can be paid by cashiers check. Please discuss other payment methods with your Catering Sales Manager or Coordinator as needed.
Food and Beverage
In accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, Bay Pointe Inn and Terrace Grille is the only authorized licensee to sell, serve or furnish liquor, beer, wine or food on these premises, excluding wedding cakes and favors. No food or beverage of any kind is permitted to be brought into any public area of the Resort’s properties, which includes grassy areas, sidewalks and docks. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Entree selections on all banquet menus will be limited to two or three choices, including a vegetarian choice, with exceptions as stated in the menu. Exceptions will also be made for medical and religious dietary needs. A guaranteed guest count is due fourteen (14) days prior to your event. This guaranteed final count will be the least number of guests we will prepare and bill for. If no guarantee is provided by the stated date, the guest count listed on your contract will be used. We require you to have at least one late night snack or appetizer if you are going to be hosting three hours or more of bar for evening events. Minimum guest count may apply for some items. Bay Pointe Inn is not a gluten free facility, but we do offer items made without gluten (GF).
